Have you ever wondered how medications such as Lipitor, Celebrex, Crestor and Viagra safely make it to the market so that consumers can benefit from them? All useful drugs have one thing in common; they have to go through a series of clinical trials. It is the fastest and safest way to find treatments that work for people and improve our long-term health. Columbus Clinical Research (CCR) is proud to be an important part of that process. Our staff conducts clinical studies to evaluate investigational treatments for specific diseases. Most of our studies are Phase III clinical trials, with medications that have already undergone testing in humans and are in the last stages of study prior to FDA consideration for approval. Our trials range from being just six weeks duration, to as long as a several years.
You can be part of the process too. Choosing to participate in a clinical trial is an important personal decision. If you qualify to participate in one of our research trials you will receive free study medication, doctors’ exams and procedures, and monetary compensation for your time and travel. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing your involvement may ultimately help others. CCR will maintain a close working relationship with your primary care provider by sending regular updates, letters, and lab results.
Our current trials are on new medications for high blood pressure, chronic pain,
allergy season, diabetes, high cholesterol, COPD, back pain, sleep/insomnia,
as well as fibromyalgia.
